After Leigh Ryan’s Retirement, Teleperformance Names Teri O’Brien CLO 2023

A worldwide leader in digital business services, appointed Teri O’Brien as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer on July 1, 2023. On that day, O’Brien will replace departing Chief Legal and Compliance Officer Leigh Ryan.

Since joining Teleperformance as Incoming Chief Legal and Compliance Officer on May 15, 2023, O’Brien has worked closely with Ryan to facilitate a seamless transition. Teleperformance’s Ryan is retiring. For 25 years, she was Teleperformance Group’s external counsel.

“From the early days when she first served as our external US counsel, Leigh has played a key role in working with me and the leadership team to shape the growth of Teleperformance,” said Daniel Julien, Chairman and CEO of Teleperformance Group. I trust her as a strategic advisor and useful collaborator. The Board of Directors and leadership team appreciate her and wish her well in retirement.

O’Brien will head Teleperformance’s Legal, Compliance, and Privacy divisions.

“We welcome Teri as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer,” Julien said. She represented Teleperformance in many acquisitions as external counsel. She is the right candidate to build on Leigh’s accomplishments as we continue our digital business service company transformation.”

Before joining Teleperformance, O’Brien was Teleperformance’s external US counsel for many years, most recently as a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP and before that at Paul Hastings LLP, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and corporate securities. San Diego State University awarded O’Brien a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Doctor of Law. O’Brien is a CPA and California bar member.
