Warner provides business proprietors with their final notice 2023

Business owners in the state of West Virginia are being notified by Secretary of State Mac Warner to ensure that their Annual Report is submitted by the statutory deadline of June 30.

If a company misses the deadline of June 30, it will be marked in the database maintained by the state as not complying with the regulations. In accordance with the requirements of the law, a late filing charge in the amount of $50 will be levied.

Due to the fact that West Virginia has the biggest number of registered firms in the entire history of the state, an increased number of Annual Reports will need to be submitted than in the past.

Online filing accounts for over 99 percent of all Annual Reports.

At the WV One Stop Business Portal, which may be located at Business4.WV.gov, online filings often take less than five minutes to complete. For those proprietors of businesses who would rather not create an internet account, a guest filing option is offered.

A filing fee of $25 must be paid in order to submit an Annual Report. Warner advises company owners to be aware of solicitations from third parties who demand as much as $375 to file the Annual Report on the business’s behalf.
