Grab Philippines bolstered its technological solutions and merchant partnerships to enable more businesses to increase their reach and digital adoption.
The developer of a super-app for transportation, food delivery, and digital payments services recently introduced new digital consumer touchpoints at the GrabNext Conference 2023. These include the discoverability platform Find & Dine, the digital marketing tool Marketing Manager, and the online-to-offline (O2O) solutions Scan-to-Order and Self Pick-Up.
“By continuously reinventing business models, customizing innovative solutions, and introducing industry-leading tools, we ensure the scalability and sustainability of our merchants as they navigate a (online-to-offline) O2O environment,” explained Anton Bautista, senior director for Deliveries at Grab Philippines.
Technical solutions to improve online visibility
Find & Dine is Grab’s dine-in discoverability platform that acts as a virtual guide for consumers investigating nearby culinary options.
Users have access to detailed restaurant profiles that include operating hours, menus, dine-in ratings, and contact information. Grab will introduce Dine-In Deals in the second half of 2023 as a strategic move, allowing users to pre-purchase discounted deals for in-store feasting.
peruse-to-Order (STO) improves the in-store dining experience by allowing dine-in customers to peruse menus, place orders, and pay while situated at their preferred restaurants. This customer experience can increase the front-of-house efficacy of retailers by 15%.
Developing advertising campaigns
Self Pick-Up (SPU) enables users to place orders and make payments remotely, bypassing lines for a convenient to-go experience. Notably, SPU orders doubled in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the first quarter of the same year, demonstrating its growing prominence among users.
Marketing Manager is a desktop-enabled function that can be accessed via the GrabMerchant portal. The Marketing Manager provides merchants with control and access to various capabilities for enhancing their online presence.
The Marketing Manager can construct a single ad campaign that reaches all store locations, thereby streamlining marketing efforts and maximizing exposure. Grab added a Forecasting widget to the Marketing Manager.
This real-time tool enables merchants to visualize the potential outcomes of their advertising campaigns based on the audiences and budgets they’ve selected.
