Sanjay Verma, Ester Industries Limited’s newly appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), says, “I have a responsibility to deliver successful business transformation and digital innovation at a group level.” “When I say business transformation, it means complete end-to-end business process re-engineering,” says Sanjay, who wants to ride the digital solutions wave to build the firm.

Sanjay said the company’s old system has to be digitized immediately, encompassing manufacturing, production, logistics, and corporate functions. He stressed that this end-to-end business process transformation will involve IT and business.

Sanjay feels the digital age would help the firm expand according to its ideals.

“In business transformation, we need to focus on implementing the digital transformation roadmap and the factors driving digital transformation after this roadmap,” added Verma. He noted that industry 4.0, full production automation, a data lake for analytics, CRM for lead generation, HRMS, and SAP S/4 HANA re-implementation with BPR might be considerations.

Sanjay said that his KPIs include lowering manufacturing costs and enhancing company-wide productivity. He wants to make all management information clickable, boost revenue, and boost corporate value.

“I started Ester’s business transformation. We initially discussed intentions to be ahead in this path, then initiated conversations with the Big 4, and shortly we will unveil a company transformation initiative on a digital roadmap. Sanjay claimed the project will alter the company as well as IT.

Polyester is a commodity, and Ester uses a heritage strategy, Sanjay said. He intends to digitize the company’s whole business. Sanjay thinks digital will help the firm expand according to its ideals.
