A NCNS vehicle is now on the road due to the efforts of a Hurunui business 2023
A generous sponsorship from a Hurunui company has enabled North Canterbury Neighbourhood Support (NCNS) to brand a mobile vehicle and take it on the road.
NCNS manager Dalice Stewart stated that the sponsorship of a brand-new Mazda2 by Arthur Burke Mazda Amberley, which included a vehicle livery with NCNS insignia, was already aiding in the promotion of the organization throughout Hurunui.
As a participant in NCNS, Hurunui District Council applauded the promotion assistance provided. Rhea Duffy, manager of Community Partnerships at Hurunui District Council, remarked, “It’s great to see our community collaborating and working towards NCNS’s vision of safe, connected, and resilient communities.”
Recently, Stewart was at the Hurunui District Library in Amberley to recruit new members and establish street groups in the Hurunui District, with the vehicle branding assisting to generate interest.
“When I presented Arthur Burke with the proposal, they promptly agreed to sponsor the vehicle for us. Previously, I used my own vehicle, but the branding has made a significant difference. Stewart stated, “Our only expenses are insurance and fuel, and the vehicle is extremely economical to operate.”
Arthur Burke Tim McCracken, the sales manager at Mazda Amberley, stated that the Mazda2 with its 1.5L engine was chosen to assist Stewart in traveling safely from Kaiapoi to Kaikoura in North Canterbury. The Mazda2 has a favorable power-to-fuel ratio.
McCracken stated that Arthur Burke supports the New Zealand Police through the use of the company’s tow vehicle, attending accidents, and other tasks, and jumped at the chance to support this initiative.
